Android enters the netbooks markets!

With its 10.1" Aspire D250 netbook, Acer fulfills its promise to ship an Android-powered netbook. At the moment, it can already be pre-ordered in a dual-booted version, combining Android with Windows XP. Obviously, this causes a lot of rumors… Wouldn’t Acer be sure enough of Android as a netbook OS to launch it as a unique OS?

The netbook will also be available with Windows 7, and then another version should be on offer, combining Android and Windows 7.

The debate is now open… What can we expect from Android as an OS out of the SmartPhones universe? What will it be compatible with? Will it enable to install all our favorite software, never mind them being Firefox or Linux applications? And maybe the most discussed and critical point of this approaching launching: is Android really ready to enter this new world?
